Its serene, well-maintained surroundings encompass a playground, flying fox, and swings, perfect for children, while adults can relax in the grass or enjoy a peaceful swim. The pool is filled with ocean water, providing a unique, natural swimming experience, although some visitors have noted occasional algae blooms. Visitors can also engage in fishing activities or explore the nearby walking track with stunning views of Magnetic Island. The area also includes a café with well-prepared meals and a fantastic view. Amenities include clean toilets and outdoor showers, although some visitors suggested the addition of indoor showers.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Townsville council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
